Energy Certification

ecoCarbon can help your organisation to become compliant with various energy legislation’s. Ensuring your properties are energy efficient can help you to reduce your carbon footprint. Our expert team at ecoCarbon can help you to understand how you can increase the energy efficiency of your property, therefore reducing your carbon emissions.

The legislation’s we can help you become compliant with are:



EPC

An EPC is required when a property is built, sold or let. EPC’s contain information about a properties energy use and recommendations about how to reduce energy consumption.



DEPC

You can get both commercial and domestic EPCs. A DEPC can be conducted for your own property to identify ways in which you could reduce your energy bills. Like a commerical EPC, a DEPC is required when a property is built, sold or let.



MEES

The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) came into force in April 2018. Under this legislation properties must have an EPC rating of E or above in order to let the property. In certain circumstances, properties can be exempt.

i

DEC

A DEC is a legal requirement for public buildings. DECs display the operational rating of a property, and they must be made clearly visable to the public eye in A3 size.



TM44

TM44 is an inspection of Air Conditioning Systems. This legislation mandates building owners to undertake regular inspections of their air conditioning systems 12kW or above every 5 years.
